Hey everyone! We had our first flying event this year out at the Big Sky RC Field with about 20 or so people out for the day. We had a lot of visiting folks who came out to watch the flying and some of them did a little flying on John Sandy's buddy box setup. The weather started out a little chilly and overcast but around 10:30 the sun burned off a large portion of those clouds allowing the temp to climb and the jackets come off. The winds were a little blustery at times, ok, maybe most of the time but most folks just went with it and flew. At the end of the day everyone's planes went home in one piece - a win all around! I did manage to take a few photos so hopefully you enjoy them.
Everyone is hiding under the rest area having lunch
Steve Woodhouse and Dan Horinek hanging out between flights
Max Hinrichs made it down from Havre with several planes
Dan and Chuck Woods getting Chuck's plane ready to fly
John Sandy cooking us some hamburgers and dogs... Well done! Crunchy! And a few colorful metaphors I probably shouldn't list were heard by the group as they chewed through their meals.
Ok, John's cooking was pretty good! We've got Bruce Hadella and Tom Osborn sitting out front.
