2025-11 November Meeting Minutes

Big Sky RC Meeting Minutes
4 Nov 2025

President Dan Woods brought the meeting to order at 7:05 PM at the Pitstop with 9 members in attendance.

Secretary Don Gilles read October’s meeting minutes and they were accepted as read.

Treasurer Darrell Anderson read the Treasurer’s report and it was accepted as read.

Old business:

Dan Woods opened with an update on indoor flying. It’s starting out strong with 11 flyers one evening. Let’s hope the interest continues. Dan also talked about how mini-z is progressing.

Dan reminded us that the Christmas banquet is coming up soon on 20 Dec, 6pm here at the Pit Stop. We’ll finalize the menu at the December meeting.

New business:

The 2026 BSRC events were discussed and John Sandy let us know that Steve Woodhouse would like to exchange a club fly date with us for his annual international invitational extravaganza. Steve would like to hold his event tentatively on 29 Aug 2026. Members agreed the schedule looked good and Jerry Knight made a motion to approve the 2026 schedule. Motion Passed.

Dan Woods reminded us that club officer nominations are due – all officer positions will be voted on at the 02 December meeting. If you’re interested in ousting any of the officers or taking over as field marshal, track marshal or safety officer – now is your time!

Dan also discussed the lawn tractor that was given to the club. Dan stated it has a lot of issues and might be more of a headache than he’d like to get involved with. It seems the best plan is to sell it for parts.

Closing out the night, we welcomed new club members Blake Parameter and his son Bradford at our meeting tonight. Blake is active-duty Air Force. Blake and Brad are talented pilots from the scuttle I heard coming out of the Paris Gibson gym.

Thanks to all attendees, the meeting was adjourned at 7:39 pm.
